On the tip of the fins, snorkelling around Antiparos
Whether in open water, on rocky or sandy bottoms, on seagrass beds, the underwater life is diverse and captivating. I illustrate some of the common or surprising species encountered during snorkeling escapades along the coasts of Antiparos. Far from being exhaustive, observations are guided by my curiosity and the pleasure of identifying or understanding.
Discovering the marine world can start on a small scale, simply by observing what's happening beneath the surface. The idea behind this aquatic escapade is to arouse curiosity and, I hope, to answer some questions. So, let's go!
In the water column, meeting fish and jellyfish
Hiding in crevices, overhangs on rocky bottoms or among seagrass
A bit everywhere on the seafloor, fish not particularly hiding
